Cian Downing

21st-century mod Cian Downing and his backing band will hit the road again in 2027 to promote the release of Cian's second album, No Place to be Young. Cian's blend of Paul Weller and Billy Bragg-esque songwriting with the rhythms of 2Tone and 20th-century soul will be on show, as Cian and his band play the new album from start to finish, plus a number of class tracks from his debut album, The Grassroots to the Sky, and earlier releases. Cian is a DIY artist with no management, booking agent or record label, and is putting on this tour entirely by himself, so remember, every single ticket purchase goes back to the musicians performing on the night.
Support comes from the fantastic Scarlett Fever, a young mod revival 4-piece from Crewe, Cheshire, who will bring plenty of energy and attitude, and certainly get the crowd going. 
To open and close the night, the brilliant Nick Newcombe will be spinning the finest selection of ska, reggae, soul and mod music in the North-East. Nick is renowned on the ska and mod scene for ​his excellent ​DJ sets, so make sure to get down early to catch him!
