About Moshradar's metal games

Every game and quiz here is free, plays in your browser and is built for people who already know their Maiden from their Priest. The games are dealt from the real bands on Moshradar: name a band from a close-up of its photo, call which of two bands has more Spotify followers, or book the festival you would actually buy a ticket for and turn it into a poster.

The quizzes are written by hand and every answer is checked against a source, from classic albums and band mascots to the history of heavy metal. Every one ends on a fact worth knowing.

Questions about the games

Are the quizzes and games free?

Yes. Every quiz and game here is free to play in the browser, with no app to install and no account needed.

Where do the band photos and follower numbers come from?

From the band pages in the Moshradar music section. Photos are the band's own upload where they have one, otherwise their Spotify picture, and follower counts are the public Spotify numbers, refreshed as the artist data syncs.

Why are the games different every time?

Higher or Lower and Band Close-Up are dealt from the bands on Moshradar each time you play, so no two runs are the same. The quizzes are hand-written, and every answer is checked against a source before it goes up.

How long are the quizzes?

Between ten and twenty questions each, one at a time, with the fact behind every answer shown as you go. At the end you can send your score to a mate to beat.
