Giles Corey is the folk-driven solo work of Dan Barrett, co-founder of Have a Nice Life andEnemies List Home Recordings. This November he tours it entirely alone for the first time.First released in 2011, the self-titled Giles Corey album began with a simple constraint:acoustic instruments only. That boundary opened into something much larger—guitar, piano,ghostly choirs, heavy organ, field recordings, and sudden walls of sound arranged around anintimate singer-songwriter core.The songs move through depression, death, history, and the paranormal without treating anyof them as distant ideas. Quiet desperation gives way to cathartic outburst; privateconfession becomes communal release. The album and its accompanying book have sincegathered a fervent following, often described by listeners in the language of ritual or religiousexperience.

These are the first Giles Corey dates since a handful of shows in 2023, and the first Barretthas ever performed entirely solo: stark voice and acoustic instruments, unstable electronics,and arrangements built to move from a whisper to physical impact. The set includes brandnew material performed live for the first time.
