Sister Midnight and KCRW Present: Gaby Moreno Sings Bowie

Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno is known for her soulful sound, blending English and Spanish with influences from Americana, blues, and Latin music. Originally from Guatemala and based in Los Angeles, she won a Grammy for X Mí (Vol. 1) in 2024 and made her Broadway debut as Persephone in Hadestown in 2026. Her work includes co-writing the theme for Parks and Recreation and collaborating with Oscar Isaac on ?Luna de Xelajú.? Los Angeles-based producer, composer, and guitarist Mark Phillips has had music featured in more than 800 television shows over 25 years and has toured internationally since 1987 as a member of iconic genre-defying band Fishbone. As The Black Operator, he reimagines classic songs with a rotating cast of collaborators, honoring the originals while introducing them to new audiences.
