Is this band AI?
Type a band or artist. We check it against our UK gig database, its back catalogue and MusicBrainz, show you what we found, and tell you plainly when its makers or a streaming platform have said it is AI.
Checked: Sienna Rose
Flagged as AI by Deezer.

What we found
- Live shows This act is not in our gig database, so we have no show history to check. Our listings are UK-focused — an act touring elsewhere may simply not be covered.
Also looked for
- Back catalogue, release pace, track lengths: We hold no releases for an act outside our listings.
This is a reported statement, not our finding. We list an act as AI only when its creators, its label or a streaming platform have said so publicly, and we link to where they said it.

Every act here has been called AI in public by its own creators, its label or a streaming platform. We record who said it, when, and where, and we add no act on suspicion. This list is updated as statements are made; the checker above answers for every act on it.

Accused, and they deny it
Real acts that were accused of being AI and have said publicly that they are not, in their own words.
How can you tell if a band is AI-generated?
1. Do they play live?
This is the one that matters. Generated acts do not book venues, sell tickets and turn up. Every AI act exposed so far shared the same shape: real streaming numbers, no shows anywhere, ever. It is also the hardest thing to fake, because a gig leaves a trail — listings, tickets, a venue that remembers.
It is the check almost nobody can run, which is why this tool exists here: we list 12,224 gigs and the acts playing them, so we can look.
2. When does the back catalogue start?
Generative music tools only became usable around 2023–24. Releases older than that were made the hard way. An act whose entire discography appeared in the last eighteen months is not proof of anything — every band starts somewhere — but combined with volume it starts to mean something.
3. How fast is the catalogue growing?
Writing, recording and mixing a record takes months. Generating one takes an afternoon. Eight albums in a year is not a working pace for a band.
4. Do the tracks all run to the same length?
Generated tracks cluster around whatever length the model produces. A real record has a ninety-second interlude and an eight-minute closer. Scatter is a sign of people making decisions.
5. Do they exist anywhere else?
A real band leaks out of streaming: a Bandcamp, a website, tagged photos, a local promoter's listing, a MusicBrainz entry someone bothered to create. A generated act is often a profile and nothing behind it.
How to tell if an artist on Spotify is AI
- Look for a badge. An AI Persona badge means Spotify treats the artist's identity as possibly AI-generated. A Verified by Spotify badge, introduced on 30 April 2026, goes to artists Spotify has reviewed as human, and AI-persona profiles are not eligible for it (Spotify). Neither covers every act yet.
- Read the credits. Since April 2026 some tracks show AI credits for vocals, lyrics or instruments — only where the artist chose to disclose through their distributor, so no credit does not mean no AI.
- Look for shows. Tour dates on the profile, a ticket link, a gig in our listings. Run the name through the checker above.
- Look at the catalogue. When does it start, and how many albums arrived in how long?
- Look outside Spotify. A label, a Bandcamp, a website, photos of the act on a stage, an interview.
- Check what has been said. If the act's makers, its label or a platform have said it is AI, it is in our list above, with the source.
Does Spotify label AI artists?
Since mid-September 2026 Spotify has shown an AI Persona badge on profiles whose public identity is AI-generated — self-disclosed through Spotify for Artists, or flagged as Likely AI Persona by Spotify's own review — and keeps those acts out of its editorial and algorithmic recommendations (TechCrunch, August 2026). The badge covers the artist's identity, not how the music was made, so a human-fronted act releasing generated music carries no badge — which is the gap this checker covers.
Is this song AI? Checking a song vs checking an act
Two different questions, two kinds of tool. An audio detector listens to a track and estimates whether a generator such as Suno or Udio made it: Deezer's free detector scans whole playlists from other streaming services (MusicTech), and LetsSubmit and SubmitHub analyse a track you link or upload. They give you a probability, and they can be wrong either way.
This checker asks about the act instead: does it play live, how did its catalogue grow, and what have its makers said? Those answers do not depend on how a recording sounds — which is why the two kinds of check are worth running together.
Can AI songs appear on a real band's profile?
Yes. In August 2024 AI-made tracks appeared on the Spotify profiles of dozens of real metalcore bands — While She Sleeps and Northlane among them — through a distributor, without the bands' knowledge (Loudwire). In 2025 an AI track turned up on Toto's page (Ultimate Classic Rock) and a fake single on Volcano Choir's (Stereogum). The band is real; the track is not theirs. Since March 2026 Spotify has been testing a way for artists to approve releases before they appear on their profile (TechCrunch). Until every band has that, a release never mentioned on the band's own channels deserves suspicion — and tell the band, who can have it taken down.
How much music on streaming is AI-generated?
Deezer — the one big platform that publishes its numbers — said in September 2025 that 28% of the tracks delivered to it each day, about 30,000 tracks, were fully AI-generated (Deezer newsroom). In July 2026 it said the share had passed half of all daily uploads, about 90,000 tracks a day (TechCrunch). Whatever the exact number, the direction is not in doubt — which is why "is this band real?" went from a strange question to a normal one inside two years.
Why we won't just tell you yes or no
Because we would sometimes be wrong, and being wrong here means publicly calling a working band a fake. Every signal above is circumstantial. We will tell you plainly when an act is real — we listed the shows — but we will not accuse one of being generated on the strength of metadata. The one exception is not our call: when an act's own creators, its label or a streaming platform say publicly that it is AI, we report what they said, with the date and a link.
Questions people ask
Is this an AI band? How do I check?
Type the name into the checker. If the act's creators, its label or a streaming platform have said publicly that it is AI, you get that statement with its source and date. If the act plays live in the UK, we say so, because we list the shows. Otherwise you get what MusicBrainz and our listings hold, and you weigh it.
How do you tell if an artist on Spotify is AI?
Start with the profile. Since mid-September 2026 Spotify has marked artist identities that may be AI-generated with an AI Persona badge, and since April 2026 it has marked artists it has reviewed as human with a Verified by Spotify badge. Some tracks also show AI credits, a beta since April 2026 that appears only where the artist chose to disclose. With no badge either way, look for tour dates or a ticket link, a label, a Bandcamp and photos of the act playing. A big listener count with none of those is the pattern every exposed AI act has shared.
Is there a list of AI bands on Spotify?
The list on this page records every act whose creators, label or a streaming platform have said publicly that it is AI, with who said it, when, and a link to the source. It only holds public statements: no act is added on suspicion.
Is this song AI? Can I check a song instead of a band?
Audio detectors check the sound of a track. Deezer's free detector scans whole playlists from other streaming services, and LetsSubmit and SubmitHub analyse a track you link or upload. They give a probability and can be wrong either way. This checker looks at the act behind the song instead: whether it plays live, how its catalogue grew, and what its makers have said.
Does Bandcamp allow AI music?
No. Since 13 January 2026 Bandcamp has not allowed music made wholly or in substantial part by AI, or AI tools used to impersonate other artists or styles.
Is Breaking Rust AI?
Spotify labels its profile an AI Persona, according to Engadget. Billboard has also reported the act as AI; its creator has not commented. (Engadget, 21 October 2026)

Is Lolita Cercel AI?
Its creator told AFP he made clear from the start that she was AI-generated and "used prompts to produce the music and videos with AI". (AFP via Malay Mail, 22 April 2026)

Is Jacub AI?
